What I’m Doing Now

A look at the things I’m doing behind the scenes, inspired by Derek Sivers.

Last updated April 2020.

As a freelancer, I’m grateful for my relatively smooth transition to life under lockdown orders. My work days usually involve brainstorming and writing content for clients, fine-tuning my work habits and processes, and learning skills to improve the quality of my work.

(I’m also open to new projects, so send me an email if you’re interested in working together!)

In other news, I’m savoring every cup of coffee and every London Fog. I’m working on my home cooking. And I’m spending more time with my pup Prince.

Learning

Brushing up on my skills with AWAI’s Accelerated Copywriting and Moz Academy’s search engine optimization courses.

Reading

Seth Godin’s Linchpin. Re-reading Kazuo Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go.

Creating

When I was little, I loved arts and crafts. I’d watch in awe as my friends created beautiful things with their own hands and imagination. With lockdown orders in place, I’ve decided to use my free time to find a creative outlet of my own.

First up: watercolor painting.

Listening

Lots of techno and house. Lots of neo-soul and R&B too. Jhene Aiko’s latest project, Chilombo, is my current go-to for working and relaxing.

Watching

A lot of anime (Food Wars, Fruits Basket, and Mob Psycho 100 if you want to get specific). Also, the High Fidelity remake with Zoe Kravitz.
